Housing Heroes – Can you help house a hero?

As Ireland’s largest property site Daft.ie wants to leverage its platform to provide much needed accommodation for doctors and nurses who are on the frontline of this Covid 19 crisis. Following on from advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) and the HSE medical staff have been asked to no longer share accommodation. This means that many crucial individuals are in need of their own housing during this period of social distancing.

That is why Daft.ie is sourcing empty apartments that can be offered for free to the many healthcare workers who are in need of clean, convenient places to stay as they self-isolate outside of hospitals.

This free short-term housing can help ease our doctors and nurses concerns of sharing a home with their families or housemates while giving them the safe and secure space they need to replenish their energy on their breaks from duty.

Anyone who has an empty property can list it by filling out the form on this website for Housing Heroes. Our Customer Service Team will then reach out with details on how to list an ad in our new free section. Any nurses and doctors can visit Daft here to find available properties. If nothing suitable is found please check again later. We are getting many offers and sometimes it takes a bit of time to go live on Daft.

Though we are apart we will get through this together.

Eamonn Fallon, CEO of Daft.ie said, “Ireland’s healthcare workers are doing an amazing job and we want to support them in anyway we can. Our team are working day and night sourcing rent-free apartments for our frontline doctors and nurses. We hope to be in a position to start filling them by early next week.” #Renting
